Our tour is led by Racounter, Wil Thomas, who's passion for Broome's history began in the mid 90's whilst researching the rich tapestry of Broome's past...

As a Broadcaster for ABC Radio National's 'Hindsight' program, Wil was involved in the production of radio features from Australia's past. Several stories originated in the Kimberley.

Broome's incredible past was unearthed in the research of these programs. One particular story, "They told us war is coming' aired on Radio National and tells the little known story of the bombing of the Kalumburu Mission by the Japanese during WW2.

Relocating to Broome in 1999, Wil became a tour guide for Malcolm Douglas at the Broome Crocodile Park, where he led tours for 8 years.

With the advent of 'Broome Historical Walking Tours', the two passions of Tour guide and Social historian have come together. The result is a 90 minute interactive walking story not to

be missed.
